Colour healing therapy has been used for many years. You also do it subconsciously every day when you choose what to wear and eat and what colours you may be drawn to on a particular day. If you would like to know how to consciously heal your chakras, you have come to the right place.
I’m trained and certified in complementary healing techniques, so I tailor your session to work on your specific goals and needs. I love showing my patients how just a few treatments can make an enormous difference to their wellbeing. With the stressors of daily life something as simple as looking after your energy levels can be a huge benefit for your body, mind and soul in the long run.
The energies in a human body have similar frequencies to certain colours. We absorb colour energy through our sight, touch, smell, ingestion and imagination.
Colour energy is also absorbed through our aura – the electro magnetic energy field we radiate. The varying wavelengths of individual colours resonate with the varying wavelengths of the different energy centers (chakras) in the body.
Each chakra point has a physical and spiritual dimension.
Colour therapy aims to heal and balance both these dimensions.
Colour therapy is the art of healing and balancing one’s energies through colours.
Colour therapy or healing through colours originated thousands of years ago in countries such as Egypt, India and China. In Egypt - it was used in temples to heal people. In India - it was used through minerals, gemstones and through the use of Ayurvedic medicines. In China - it was used through herbs and herbal medicines.
In later years physicists such as Isaac Newton and Edwin Babbit and writer Johan Wolfgang von Goethe contributed new dimensions in the form of colour and its healing techniques.
Isaac Newton was the founder of the rainbow colours and the prism theory in the 1700s.
Johann Wolfgang von Goethe wrote a book called “theory of colours” in 1810.
Edwin Babbit not only came up with the theory of colour healing in 1878 but also many tools which are in use today.
Since the 20th century until today, the significance and benefits of colour therapy are becoming well known again. There are more and more people now seeking alternative/complementary healing therapies and the benefits of colour therapy being an ancient tool only contribute toward making it a very powerful mechanism by which people can be healed/balanced.
